Well despite all of us being well bundled up in scarves and jackets, I was pleasantly surprised to find some outstanding show style in the city of Caen, tucked away on the shores of Normandy. It seemed that the utmost accessory of choice was a pooch. There were plenty of characteristic canine’s to be had through out the VIP but Billy the English Bull dog was my favorite. We will feature all the lovely dog’s that adorned the VIP soon enough!
The Best dressed of the show was Julie Pellerin (FRA) and Sara Baban (KSA), by a long shot!! These ladies were dressed to impress!!
(Left) Julie Pellerin was the epitomy of French chic with a Necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels, Sweater by Balenciaga, Jacket by Sandro, Bag by Gucci and super stylish studded high-tops by Centro…. I will be shopping there this week!!!
(Right) Sara Baban is always effortlessly put-together. The wife of Ramzy Al Duhami hails from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She was wearing a Sweater by Doriana, Mavi jeans, Rag and Bone boots and a midnight blue leather bag from Italy made of real Python leather. Wow!!!
- Chris King and his friend, Ana Maria Hochdtadter, Fashion blogger did not disappoint, representing all things French and chic with a gorgeous over-sized Hermes stirrup necklace worn by Ana Maria.
Waltzing in Style in Wien….
Vienna has always been one of the chicest cities in the world, setting trends in art , music and literature…….and Psychiatry!
The Viennese are proud of their history and culture, so to hold the GCT in front of the awesome Rathaus city hall was not only an honor but a tribute to its Imperial heritage.
Chantilly has its glorious 18th century stables and the Chateau, Cannes with its sparkling bay and palm trees but in Vienna the Global Tour cameras, in between riders, treated us to sweeping views over palaces and monuments. Hats off to Mr Tops and the organizers there. They put on a fantastic show.
So how did the Austrian horsey crowd dress? In general, pretty classy I would say, although at this time of year the ultimate accessory is not a Birkin but a chunky cashmere or mohair plaid to throw over yours and your partners laps. Very cozy!
Here are some snaps taken with my iPhone, so not Noelle’s usual top quality pics, without having been too indiscreet I hope. And of course one of yours truly standing on what must be the most unusual warm up ring so far. Squeezed between the Rathaus and a neighbouring mansion.
My Style pick of the Show goes to the young and lovely Luisa Daumer, looking so fresh and pretty in her Abercrombie bright blue bomber and Hermes style silk carré. Crisp white riding britches and beige Geox sneakers. She was helping out as a hostess for the event and enjoying the spectacle with her very smart family in the VIP tribunes. So young and such style already!!!
Style pick of Vienna…
My Style pick of the show….
Most stylish couple…
Like father like son. Austrian breeders of Lipizanns…
A leather jacket is timeless; no matter what color. I love the way she plays with the Spanish riding school and Austrian leather look
Noo comment needed I think!
The handsome Danish rider Andreas Schou, looking every bit the Austrian prince on his recent acquisition Untouchable 27
Sensible & chic Austrian gentleman
Dublin Horse Show RDS
Well Heidi Kane wins for the ever-so classy over-the-knee boot choice (with a touch of sassy!) and her amazing Ted Baker Rust-colored Blazer. The California-babe adorned a Stella bag, which was to die for also.
Well for the world-famous Dublin Horse Show, our Best Dressed goes to Heidi Kane of Newport Beach, California. Heidi is the mother of Nicole Kane, California rider and owner of South Shore Farms out of Huntington Beach Equestrian Center. Heidi was visiting Dublin for the Horse Show and caught up with all us girls for a bit of fun and a lot of top sport-action ringside.
Heidi has been to Dublin Horse Show before and was quite popular at the famous event, with lots of invitations through out the week. This outfit, she put together for the RDS Luncheon on Sunday afternoon. She got to wine and dine with all those notable and enjoy the Hunting class later on.
Bravo Heidi!! Amongst all the stylish babes, your effortless-chic stood out from the crowd.

Shoes of Dublin…
Well not only did the ladies of Dublin dress up, but they wore their best footwear. The variety of elegant footwear I saw was superb. So naturally, Show Style had to feature all the excellent adorned feet of Dublin’s show attendee’s.
Well Chris King wins for the most patriotic outfits… his sock choices were superb!!! The ribbon was an excellent accessory for the final day.
So what’s he wearing…
White jacket by YSL, Tshirt by Vivienne Westwood; special collection for the London games.
Straw boater 1920’s vintage.
Gold medal gym bag from American Apparel.
Socks by Crimson, Paris and the seersucker red, white and blue striped waistcoat made to measure by Hanes B. Zurich
White Cricket shoes are vintage Fenestrier 1988.
Scarf found at Quai Ouest beach St Tropez, France
Watch by Hermes and Sunglasses by RayBan!
Chris was all red, white and blue for most of the week. Switching his color of socks for each day. A full supporter of the French, this show style guru not only fashions his sense at horse shows but at dog shows also. Chris’s horses are Katchina Mail and Jaguar Mail, just to name a few. But Chris also spends his time with his Champion English Mastiff’s when he isn’t at the horse shows.
His European Champion is called Barnaby Brullemail and his prize International Championship pouch who also won the French Breeding Championship is called Dashing Darcy Brullemail.
I love the names!!!
So it seems Chris has quite the fashion advantage, for he gets lots of practice displaying all sorts of outfits at whichever show he is attending.
Well the Pessoa girls do it again…
Well the ladies of Chantilly were certainly the most stylish of the week, I can assure you. The Global Champions Tour hosted a super chic event in the cheval capital of the world and the atmosphere was one to inspire elegance and style.
I was most impressed with the show style at Chantilly with plenty of dresses to go around.. it was a nice change from the rain boots from the past few weeks in Aachen and in Hickstead.
There were many wonderful outfits but Alexa and Sophia Pessoa win it again … to make it a back to back win for the fashionable mother-daughter duo. The pastel colors were just perfect and amongst the whites of the riders, not to mention Daddy-dearest, Alexa and Sophia looked picturesque against the back drop of Chateau de Chantilly and the Grande Ecuries.
Well the ladies certainly lived up to my expectations at the legendary Longines Royal International Horse show on the famous Hickstead show grounds. Hats and dogs were the accessories of the day, with none too big or too small to sport.
There was lots of color and it seemed the bright garment choices kept the rain at bay… for it stayed dry for most of Thursday and Friday.
I loved all the plaid…. it really was so traditionally English and that was my favorite part!
Alexa and Sophia Pessoa
Hunter rain Boots and silk scarves seemed to be the choices of the day for the stylish spectators in Aachen last week. All those who came out to watch the famous Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen showed of some great style choices with some fabulous hats I might add. The Germans really dressed to impressed on Sunday with record attendance.
Check out next week when I go to the famous Hickstead where the girls and I will fashion the traditional derby hats. No doubts there will be some incredible show style there and I will be able to capture some outstanding outfits…..
